As I have already mentioned, I broke my camera early during this trip; which means I didnt have to carry it around with me for the rest of the weekend. Fortunately, Angela (friend extraordinaire) has shared her pictures with us. This also means, I dont have to return to Harbin to take more pictures.
Day 2 of the adventure, we visited a "Tiger Zoo" where we could pay to feed them chickens, goats, or cows. The group I was with opted for the goat (just under $100; worth every cent). It was interesting...wish I had pictures to share.
After the feeding frenzy with the cats, we went to see the Snow Sculptures. I'm still trying to figure out if I was impressed with the snow sculptures or if it was just bitterly cold. Needless to day, I would rather go see Sand Sculptures like Carla and I did in the fall of 2007.
Anyway I digress, after thawing out a little bit, we all went to the main event, the Harbin Ice Festival. It was truly incredible. Ice Buildings, Ice Pagodas, Ice Bikes, Ice Skates, Ice Slides and Ice Burlesque Shows (as far as I could tell). It was still freakin ICE COLD!
