Wow, the month of December just flew by…and I haven’t written anything substantial in over a month. Please don’t be offended if you didn’t get a Christmas card from me this year (none were sent this year). I'll do better next year.
Well, what’s been going on for the last month?
During the annual Thanksgiving Day “Turkey Bowl” (flag football tournament) our office of “old men” took second place to the younger and more agile Marines. After several weeks of physical therapy and multiple bottles of Motrin, we are still recovering (I’ll just watch the game next year). After the ball game, I had the pleasure of working for a couple hours before going to the boss’s house for turkey dinner. Then I joined some friends for desert. Overall, Thanksgiving was good…
Insert four weeks of work…not the fun kind of work, the kind of work that actually sucks.
The next thing I remember was getting on an airplane to see the family for Christmas. I flew into Kansas City late on Christmas Eve arriving at my Mother’s house early Christmas morning. We had a wonderful breakfast with Grandma Coffee and Grandpa Ray. After breakfast, I drove to Oklahoma City to spend Christmas day with Zachary, Grace, and Wendy. I spent a couple days with Zachary before going back to Kansas City to see Carla for a few days.
The next thing I remember was getting on an airplane heading back to Beijing.
I’ll try to get back on my weekly postings. Hope everyone has a happy and joyful New Year.

It was great having you here during Christmas. It was special for Grandma and Grandpa as it had been too many years since they had seen you...Love you.
