Saturday Afternoon at the Summer Palace

Saturday afternoon, I met some new friends at the Summer Palace 利华 (LiHua) and her daughter 玫玫 (MeiMei), I think those are the correct characters for Meimei. If not, I am sure 利华 will let me know. LiHua is in the fur import/export business, I’m not sure if she can give a “friends” discount on a fox shawl, but I will ask if you want. MeiMei is in the kindergarten business LOL (I she is in Kindergarten, or maybe first grade…I wish I understood Chinese better). MeiMei reads characters better than I do.

上个星期六下午，我在颐和园见了两个新的朋友利华和她的女儿玫玫，我认为那些是正确的汉字为玫玫。否则，利华肯定将告诉我。 利华在毛皮进出口业务，我不知道，如果她可以给在狐狸披肩的“朋友”折扣，但是我可以问她是否你要。玫玫在幼儿园的事务LOL （我觉得她上幼儿园的学校，或者可能上一级…为了明白多我希望了解中文更好)。玫玫读字比我更好。

The three of us took a leisurely stroll around the lake, I didn’t realize that meant going for a 4 hour walk. It was a good thing the weather was nice or I would have opted for the indoor attractions.

After walking around the lake, LiHua bought MeiMei and me a “hot dog” on a stick…while she bought herself some ice-cream. I think LiHua got the better end of that deal.
