The Great Hall of the People “人民大会堂” is used as China’s parliament building, this is where the National People’s Congress meets. When their legislative session is out, the Hall is open to the public and is rented out for other functions.
Latin American Night, was just a small part of the Olympic cultural activities featuring more than 1000 performing artists from over 100 countries. The show featured wonderful dances and music from several Latin American countries (Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Cuba, ect). My favorite just happened to be the Brazilians.
